Earn and Learn

Professional Career after Scheme Completion

Study Arrangement
|
The first year |
Participants will study a full-time Higher Diploma in Analytical Science programme at IVE. |
|
The second to third years |
Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. Employers will also sponsor apprentices to study the part-time HD programme at IVE for one day per week. |
Allowance & Salary*
|
The second to third years |
Participants will receive a total of $30,800 Industry Incentive Allowance and $54,000 government subsidy from their employers and the government respectively. Given a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $9,000#, the total monthly income will be above $10,000 |

* Mode of issuing subsidy and Government Allowance may vary across trades and industries.
# For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, the guaranteed monthly salary will be adjusted to $10,000.
& For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, they will be entitled to the Monthly Apprenticeship Training Allowance of $1,000 per month during the apprenticeship.
Tuition Fees
- Participants will need to pay the tuition fees for the first year of HD programme.
- Employers will sponsor the tuition fees for the second and third year of HD programme.
Entry Requirement
- Five HKDSE subjects at Level 2 or above, including English Language and Chinese Language; or
- VTC Foundation Diploma (Level 3) / Diploma of Foundation Studies; or
- VTC Diploma in Vocational Education / Diploma of Vocational Education; or
- Yi Jin Diploma / Diploma Yi Jin; or
- Equivalent.
