Diploma of Foundation Studies (Aviation)

Study Arrangement

The first and second years

Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. Employers will sponsor the apprentices to study the
Diploma of Foundation Studies (Aviation) at IVE in the part-time study mode.

Allowance & Salary*

The first to second years

Participants will receive a total subsidy of $30,800 from their employers and allowance of $54,000 from the Government, plus a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $8,000^#. The total monthly income will be around $10,000.


The first year of training Monthly salary not less than $8,000^# and an average of $2,000^& Government Allowance	Monthly average $10,000 or above
The second year of training Monthly salary not less than $8,000^# and an average of $2,500^& Government Allowance	Monthly average $10,500 or above
An additional subsidy during the first to second year	$30,800

*  Mode of issuing subsidy and Government Allowance may vary across trades and industries.
^#  For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, the guaranteed monthly salary will be adjusted to $9,000.
^&  For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, they will be entitled to the Monthly Apprenticeship Training Allowance of $1,000 per month during the apprenticeship.
