Basic Information

The programme aims at developing students’ academic knowledge and practical skills in general and professional fields. Through a balanced curriculum and structured whole person development module, this programme equips students with all-roundness and professional competencies for embarking on a business event and marketing career. The Business Event and Marketing programme provides students with essential knowledge and skills required in the commercial sector. It also emphasises hands-on training to equip students with a wide range of practical skills that will be useful in their future careers. Graduates may choose to further their studies or seek employment.

Holders of Diploma of Vocational Education (students admitted to DVE in AY2017/18 or before are required to complete prescribed further studies modules) are considered having met the general entrance requirements of Higher Diploma programmes (not applicable to programmes with specific entrance requirements). Career Prospects

Graduates may be employed as event production assistant, marketing promotion assistant, large-scale event assistant, social media content assistant, photography and video assistant, digital sales assistant and customer service officers, etc.

Remarks

DVE students may consider taking the elective module “Mathematics 3E: Mathematics for Further Studies” for the eligibility to apply for VTC’s Higher Diploma programmes which require Level 2 or above in HKDSE Mathematics as one of their general entrance requirements. Students may be required to pay a separate tuition fee for this elective module.

Tuition Fees

Secondary 3 and Secondary 4 graduates will normally be exempted from tuition fee payment for 3 years and 2 years of study respectively.
