The programme equips electrical practitioners with sound technical knowledge and practical skills to suit the demands at works as a competent electrical craftsman. Areas being covered include Electrical Installation Technology, Electrical Installation Practices, Electrical Control Practices, Electrical Skills Fundamental Training, Industrial Electronics, Direct Current Circuits, Alternating Current Circuits and High-voltage Systems & Equipment, etc.

Professional Recognition

The programme is approved by EMSD for the recognition as meeting the academic requirement for the registration as Grade A Electrical Worker. Graduates may apply for Grade A Electrical Worker registration with sufficient working experience.
Remarks
  1. Students are required to follow the programme arrangements stipulated by IVE, on average 3-4 evenings per week, normally 2 semesters per academic year.
  2. Some classes will be conducted at Pro-Act (Electrical), VTC Kwai Chung Complex.
