The Health and Life Sciences Discipline and the Engineering Discipline collaboratively run a two-semester based curriculum common to all first-year Higher Diploma students studying Environmental Protection. The programme aims to provide students with fundamental environmental protection knowledge, including environmental investigation and data analysis, carbon audit and recycling technology. Year One students who completed the common semesters can opt to progress to either environmental protection and management or environmental engineering professional programmes.
The environmental protection broad-based common curriculum design provides a holistic experience for the Year One student and a sound foundation to enable the students to confirm their study in the professional. The programme is suitable for students who have a great interest in the environmental protection industry and professions.
