I learned a lot in the Higher Diploma in Building Studies at the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, including construction techniques , site management, relevant regulations and standards, as well as computer drawing (BIM, CAD) skills. This knowledge has enhanced my practical abilities and innovative thinking. The internship opportunities provided by the college have also made me more competitive, all of which lay a solid foundation for my future career in the construction industry.

This programme gave me rich professional knowledge and the confidence to commit to a career at sea. Through STCW training and the Ocean-going Experience Programme onboard M.V. YU KUN, I quickly adapted to daily life and work onboard. Instructors at the Maritime Services Training Institute (MSTI) have extensive industry experience and often share their experiences, giving me great inspiration and guidance. Beyond technical skills, the programme emphasises whole-person development, enhancing my adaptability and confidence. I am now progressing to a top-up degree at PolyU, working towards becoming a professional seafarer.
