After graduating from secondary school, I worked for several years before discovering the surveying programmes offered by IVE. Through the Diploma of Foundation Studies pathway, I progressed to the Higher Diploma in Geospatial Science and Land Surveying, which became an important stepping stone in my academic and career development.
The programme equipped me with solid knowledge and practical skills in land surveying and geospatial science. Through classroom learning, laboratory work, and project-based training, I developed stronger technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities while gaining a deeper understanding of real-world surveying applications.
Beyond academics, participation in extracurricular activities helped enhance my communication and teamwork skills. After graduation, I successfully articulated to Year 3 of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Green Engineering and Sustainability. Looking back, IVE provided me with valuable opportunities, a clear direction for further studies, and a strong foundation for my future career in the surveying profession.

The Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering provided me with a solid foundation in civil engineering principles and practical industry skills. Through a combination of classroom learning, laboratory work, and project-based assignments, I developed technical knowledge in structural engineering, construction technology, surveying, and engineering design. The programme also strengthened my problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities, which are essential for the engineering profession. The hands-on training and industry-oriented curriculum prepared me well for my career development and helped me transition smoothly into the engineering field.
