Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and field works; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop and update the teaching materials; |
|
(d) |
To procure, prepare and manage / maintain training materials, tools and equipment; |
|
(e) |
To assist in organising various activities including exhibitions, seminars, student competitions / activities and student admission; |
|
(f) |
To maintain close contact with industry, commerce, professional bodies and other education institutes; and |
|
(g) |
To update the programme social media account. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree or professional qualification, preferably with a recognised International Diploma in Hairdressing; |
|
(b) |
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; |
|
(c) |
Good interpersonal and communications skills; |
|
(d) |
Familiar with general computer applications and social network updates; |
|
(e) |
Good record of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage; and |
|
(f) |
Preference will be given to candidates with additional skills in photography, filming, and editing. |

(1) |
The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
The appointee is subject to posting in different sites, including Youth College (Yeo Chei Man), Youth College (Kwai Fong) or Youth College (Tuen Mun), to suit the Council’s operational needs. |

(5) |
The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and / or in designated places as assigned. |
|
(6) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
