Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To update and develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To carry out various administrative duties; |
|
(e) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
|
(f) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Applied Sciences / Health and Life Sciences, preferably in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Veterinary Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, or related field, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ teaching and/or industry experience in animal science or pet care; |
|
(c) |
Good knowledge in Qualifications Framework and Learning Programme Accreditation would be an advantage; |
|
(d) |
Good linkage with the industry or with solid work experience would be an advantage; and |
|
(e) |
Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
Applicant(s) with less relevant experience may be considered for the post of "Term Assistant Lecturer" at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
|
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
