Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching-related duties, including conducting lectures, seminars, tutorials and laboratory work, setting and marking student assessments and supervising student's projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; |
|
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions; and |
|
(f) |
Specific Duties for Building Services Engineering: |
|
|
To perform the teaching-related duties specified in Major Duties (a) in the areas of Testing and Commissioning, Building Information Modelling, Piped Services and Fire Services Design, Sustainable Built Environment and HVACR Systems, Building Services Drawing, Construction Technology and Management, Electrical Installations, and other engineering subjects. |

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree in Engineering / Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
|
(c) |
Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and |
|
(d) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of “Term Assistant Lectuter” at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(3) |
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside campus. |
