|
Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement in areas of fundamental design, sketching and drawing, product design or interior design; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
|
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in design, product design, interior design, or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
With knowledge and experience in teaching BTEC Extended Diploma of the following areas: |
|
|
- |
Sketching and Drawing |
|
|
- |
Product design |
|
|
- |
Interior design |
|
(c) |
Preferably with knowledge and experience in using design software, e.g. Sketchup, AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.; |
|
(d) |
Preferably with relevant teaching experience and / or industrial experience; and |
|
(e) |
Possess good communication, interpersonal, team building and presentation skills. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English. |
|
(4) |
The work location will be Tiu Keng Leng. |

(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
