Major Duties: |
(a) |
To assist in planning the ongoing development of the Halls of Residence (the Halls) to support implementation of residential hall education in VTC; |
(b) |
To take charge of operation of the Halls, including facilities management, event logistics, provision of security, safety, and other quality services for Hall residents and visitors; |
(c) |
To take charge of financial accounts and management of the Halls; |
(d) |
To develop, implement and review systems and procedures for the operations of the Halls to ensure compliance with corporate policies with proper documentation for reporting to management; |
(e) |
To assist in the promotion and publicity of the Halls; |
(f) |
To devise and implement contingency plans to ensure continuity of operation; |
(g) |
To lead, supervise and coach a team of administrative / operational staff, including outside contractors; and |
(h) |
To support the operation of training hotel and related operations within The T Hotel and the Institute. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised higher diploma, preferably in property management, hotel management, event management or a relevant field; preferably with a relevant recognised degree; |
(b) |
At least 6 years’ relevant work experience; |
(c) |
Proficiency in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
(d) |
Good supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills, and good administrative abilities; |
(e) |
Proactive, self-motivated, willing to learn, independence and ability to work under tight schedules; and |
(f) |
Ability to pass a trade test. |

(2) |
Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirements (a) above but possessing 12 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification. |
(3) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(4) |
The appointee(s) will be required to perform duties outside normal office hours, work on shift over a full 7-day period and in designated places as assigned. |
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
