Major Duties: |
(a) |
To conduct classes and practical training in event management related modules; |
(b) |
To lead and train students on practical and administrative tasks during Integrated Learning Experience; |
(c) |
To assist in coordinating and organising events / activities of the Institutes, including but not limited to catering events, competitions, visits, Master Chef culinary demonstrations, themed events and other activities; |
(d) |
To assist in arranging tours of facilities for guests and overseas visitors to promote the Institutes; and |
(e) |
To assist in handling enquiries, preparing relevant event proposal / agreement. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised higher diploma in Event Management / Tourism Management / Hotel Management / Catering Management, or equivalent; preferably with a relevant recognised degree; |
(b) |
At least 3 years' relevant experience in Event Management / Tourism Management / Hotel Management / Catering Management and / or relevant teaching experience; |
(c) |
Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese and spoken Putonghua; |
(d) |
Proficiency in computer applications; |
(e) |
Proactive, positive and possess good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills; |
(f) |
Ability to work independently and under pressure; and |
(g) |
Ability to pass a trade test. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirements (a) above but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
The appointee will be required to perform duties outside normal office hours, work on a rotational roster that covers evening shifts and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays and in designated places as assigned. |
(4) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
