Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To assist in workshops / laboratories equipment installation / maintenance, and training session preparation; |
|
(b) |
To assist the lecturers during laboratory / practical classes; |
|
(c) |
To assist in trouble shooting, acquisition and installation of all equipment, hardware and software; |
|
(d) |
To assist in the implementation of safety measures in laboratories and maintaining the tidiness of the workshops / laboratories; |
|
(e) |
To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores and equipment; and |
|
(f) |
To provide technical support for teaching activities, as well as special projects, events and exhibitions. |
|

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or other relevant disciplines; |
|
(b) |
At least 2 years of relevant experience in Aircraft Maintenance / Marine Engineering or related fields; |
|
(c) |
Basic knowledge of IT equipment (Windows PC), audio-visual (AV) trouble-shooting skills, and proficiency in MS Office are preferred; |
|
(d) |
Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese; and |
|
(e) |
Candidates with hands-on experience and/or knowledge in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage: |
|

(i) |
Aircraft Maintenance; |
|
|
(ii) |
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques; |
|
|
(iii) |
Painting and Coating skills for aircraft; |
|
|
(iv) |
Composite Material repair for aircraft components; |
|
|
(v) |
Sheet Metal repair for aircraft components; |
|
|
(vi) |
Marine Engine Maintenance; and |
|
|
(vii) |
IT equipment (Windows PC) setup and maintenance. |
|

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a trade test. |
|
(3) |
The work location is in IVE (Tsing Yi). |
|
(4) |
