Shine Skills Centre is a member of the VTC Group. In a caring environment, the Centre provides a wide range of industry-specific skill training and support services for people with disabilities aged 15 or above to enhance their employability and support their integration into the society. |

Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties, including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To lead experiential learning programme and adventure-based activities for students; |
(c) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(d) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching materials; |
(e) |
To organise student activities and assist in extra-curricular activities; and |
(f) |
To support other functions and projects, relevant boards and committees or task teams. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Social Science, Social Work, Liberal Studies or relevant discipline, or a professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
Good presentation, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(c) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure; |
(d) |
Preferably with some relevant teaching and / or field experience in Whole Person Development; teaching and developing the generic skills modules, leading discipline projects and student services, and / or experience in academic programme administration; and |
(e) |
Knowledge and experience in working with students with special educational needs will be an advantage. |

The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English and Chinese. |
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / or outside centres. |
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
