Major Duties: |
General Campus IT Support |
(a) |
To operate and maintain PCs, servers, and networking equipment to support campus operations; |
(b) |
To install and manage software and operating systems for PCs and servers; |
(c) |
To provide IT-related technical support for staff and/or students to resolve technical issues; |
(d) |
To maintain systems, compile reports, update documentation and assist with campus applications and web pages; and |
(e) |
To assist with procurement, inventory and operation of equipment, stores and consumables for events and productions. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
(i) |
A recognised higher diploma in a relevant discipline, plus 1 year’s relevant work experience; OR |
|
(ii) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate in a relevant discipline, plus at least 2 years’ relevant work experience; |
(b) |
Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and |
(c) |
Good communication and interpersonal skills in English and Chinese. |

The post is at the rank of “Technician”. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
The appointees may be required to perform shift duties or work in irregular working hours and at different work locations on a need basis. |
(4) |
Appointees may be posted to any operational units of the VTC, for example a campus / centre, to carry out similar duties, and have different post titles which are subject to change at the Council’s discretion. |
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees who will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
