Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties in Engineering subjects, including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials, and assist in project work; and |
|
(d) |
To participate in and arrange for campus projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars, exhibitions and competitions. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial / Robotic / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and / or industry experience in guiding project-based learning; |
|
(c) |
Good understanding of IGCSE Mathematics and BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering and its QA system is an advantage; and |
|
(d) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Lecturer at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a written assessment. |
|
(4) |
The work location will be Tsing Yi and / or Tiu Keng Leng. |
|
(5) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
|
(6) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
