Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer

Subject Area(s):
(i)	Information and Communications Technology
(ii)	Multimedia and Entertainment Technology

Major Duties:
(a)	To perform teaching duties in the above subject area(s), supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;
(b)	To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c)	To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials and project work;
(d)	To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and
(e)	To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental / discipline projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:
(a)	A recognised degree in IT, Multimedia or related field, or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b)	At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and / or industry experience;
(c)	Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; preferably including Putonghua;
(d)	A good team player and able to work independently and work under pressure;
(e)	Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industry experience would be an advantage; and
(f)	(i)	For the specialisation of Information and Communications Technology:
		(1)	Good knowledge in software / mobile application development; OR
		(2)	Good knowledge in artificial intelligence(AI) and machine learning;
	(ii)	For the specialisation of Multimedia and Entertainment Technology:
		(1)	Good knowledge in multimedia applications and interactive installations; OR
		(2)	Good knowledge in game development or animation production; OR
		(3)	Good knowledge in VR/AR application development.

Notes:
(1)	Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
(2)	The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
