The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for the part-time (Evening) technician post offered by SHAPE (Tsing Yi) in the academic year 2025/26. |

Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To assist in the setting up of facilities and equipment for classrooms, laboratories, lecture theatres and workshops; |
|
(b) |
To be responsible for the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of computers, servers, network, audio-visual and other educational equipment; |
|
(c) |
To provide technical and operational support and guidance to staff and students in learning and teaching-related activities; and |
|
(d) |
To maintain the safety and tidiness of the workshops / studios / laboratories. |

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate, preferably in IT or Engineering related discipline or equivalent; and |
|
(b) |
At least 2 years’ relevant experience in the related field. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
The appointee(s) will be remunerated on hourly basis. |
|
(2) |
Working Hour: 19:00-22:00 on weekdays / weekend evenings and/or daytime session on weekends (working hours may be varied in which depend on the operational needs of various top-up degree programmes). |
