    Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Lecturer
    School for Higher and Professional Education (Tsing Yi)

    The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC).  It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree and degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities.  Applications are now invited for the part-time Lecturer post offered by SHAPE (Tsing Yi) for the programme of Bachelor of Science (Hons) Information Technology, in the academic year 2025/26.
     
    Subject Areas:
    (I) Big data analytics and machine learning
    (II) Research and writing skills
    (III) Practical communication skills and human interactions
     
    Major Duties:
    (a) To conduct lectures / tutorial / laboratory practices / perform teaching duties at the bachelor’s degree level;
    (b) To mark and provide guidance / feedback on students’ assessments and projects;
    (c) To carry out academic related administration duties, including invigilating examination, serving in academic and other related meetings;
    (d) To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and
    (e) To participate in school projects and functions, where necessary.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised master’s degree in related disciplines;
    (b) At least 4 years’ relevant teaching experience at tertiary / degree level or relevant work experience; and
    (c) Experience in research, dissertation / project supervision is highly preferable.
