Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Networking, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, Multimedia, Digital Media, Games and Animation or related field, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
(c) |
A high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
(d) |
A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure; and |
(e) |
Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industry experience would be an advantage. |
(f) |
For Specialism (I): |
|
(i) |
Good knowledge of networking protocols, wireless communications, AD and LDAP, virtualization, Kubernetes, DevOps, Ansible, SDN, storage solutions, Cisco / H3C / Huawei equipment, Windows/Linux server administration, network simulation tools, and CCNA / CCNP; and |
|
(ii) |
Preferably with knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following skillsets: cloud computing, object-oriented technology, Web application development. |
|
For Specialism (II): |
|
(i) |
Good knowledge and solid experience in computer networking, web security, system administration and security, network administration and security; and |
|
(ii) |
Preferably with knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following skillsets: Firewall, IDS / IPS, Penetration Testing, Digital Forensics and Ethical Hacking. |
|
For Specialism (III): |
|
(i) |
Good knowledge and solid experience in data science and big data technologies; or |
|
(ii) |
Good knowledge and solid experience in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning; and |
|
(iii) |
Preferably with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following skillsets: Python, R, Tableau, Hadoop and popular AI frameworks. |

For Specialism (IV): |
|
(i) |
Good knowledge and solid experience in at least one of the following topics: Game Level Design, Interactive Multimedia Applications Development, VR / AR Application Development, Mobile Application / Game Development, UI Design, Generative AI, MCP Application, C++ and/or C# Programming, Game Development, 3D Animation Development, Sound Engineering, Audio Design, Live Sound System; |
|
(ii) |
Good knowledge and solid experience in using at least one of the following tools: Unity3D, Unreal, Blender, ComfyUI, Pro Tools, Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effect), 3Ds Max, and/or Maya; and |
(g) |
Preferred Putonghua Proficiency: |
|
(i) |
Mother tongue / language is Putonghua; or |
|
(ii) |
Received a bachelor’s degree or above of which the medium of instruction is Putonghua; or |
|
(iii) |
Have at least 3 years’ work experience in the Mainland or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or |
|
(iv) |
Attainment of Grade 3B or above at the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) - Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work. |
