Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and |
(d) |
To participate in departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Multimedia, Digital Media, Games and Animation, or equivalent, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
For the Information and Communications Technology specialism: |
|
(i) |
Good knowledge in computer network, Kubernetes, DevOps, Python/Java programming, web and android development; |
|
(ii) |
Good knowledge in cloud computing – AWS or Azure or GCP, AI, IoT, big data, SAP and/or; holder of RedHat and public cloud certification is highly preferred; |
|
(iii) |
Preferably with knowledge and experience in design and implementation of computer networks, software development on multiplatform, AI, IoT or big data application development, and/or application development on cloud; |
(c) |
For the Multimedia and Entertainment Technology specialism: |
|
(i) |
Knowledge and/or solid experience in at least one of the following topics: Game Level Design, Interactive Multimedia Applications Development, VR/AR Application Development, UI Design, Generative AI, MCP Application, C++ and/or C# Programming, Game Development, 3D Animation Development, Sound Engineering, Audio Design, Live Sound System; |
|
(ii) |
Preferably experience in using at least one of the following tools: Unity3D, Unreal, Blender, ComfyUI, Pro Tools, Adobe CC, 3Ds Max, and/or Maya; |
(d) |
Strong communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(e) |
Records of linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industry experience would be an advantage; and |
(f) |
Preferred Putonghua Proficiency: |
|
(i) |
Mother tongue / language is Putonghua; or |
|
(ii) |
Received a bachelor’s degree or above of which the medium of instruction is Putonghua; or |
|
(iii) |
Have at least 3 years’ work experience in the Mainland or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or |
|
(iv) |
Attainment of Grade 3B or above at the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) - Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work. |
