The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for Part-time (Daytime) Lecturer post for the programme of BA (Hons) International Fashion Business offered at SHAPE (DILWL) in the academic year 2025/26. |

Major Duties: |
(a) |
To oversee the supervision of student research projects in providing academic support and advices for developing the knowledge and skills to achieve the highest standard of research outcomes; |
(b) |
To coordinate students’ research projects in providing regular feedback on the design, management and analysis of data and information, presentation, content and report; |
(c) |
To stay abreast of the latest developments in the programme area through scholarly activities and research and to ensure that these developments are continually reflected in the learning and teaching methods employed on the course; |
(d) |
To undertake teaching duties on research skills and methodology; and |
(e) |
To undertake a supervision and teaching role independently, including assessment on the Fashion Retail, Buying, Merchandising, and Marketing, as well as a Dissertation. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised Master’s degree in relevant discipline and/or equivalent professional qualification; |
(b) |
At least 4 years’ relevant teaching / work experience; |
(c) |
Knowledge and experience in the local and international aspects of the retail industry, and with a good understanding of the latest retail trends in developing creative and commercial visions to exploit potential business opportunities; and |
(d) |
Good knowledge of different kinds of business models and theories for analyzing the current and future trends of the company's position. |
