Major Duties: |
(a) |
To operate and maintain the PCs, servers and networking equipment; |
(b) |
To install and manage software / OS for PCs and servers; |
(c) |
To provide IT-related technical support for staff and / or students; |
(d) |
To take charge of day-to-day system and campus websites maintenance; and |
(e) |
To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores, software licenses and consumables. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate in a relevant discipline; |
(b) |
At least 2 years’ relevant experience; |
(c) |
Good knowledge of operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer hardware and networking; |
(d) |
Experience in using Windows PC and Mac; |
(e) |
Experience in administration of Windows server and Linux Server is an advantage; |
(f) |
Candidates with knowledge / skills in the following areas would be preferable : |

(i) |
Proficiency in various Microsoft and Adobe software, and application of other common computer / educational software; |
|
(ii) |
Knowledge of LAN / WAN technologies and good understanding of TCP/IP; |
|
(iii) |
Knowledge in developing web site and web programming using languages such as PHP, ASP and HTML; |
|
(iv) |
Knowledge in computer graphics design and video editing; |
(g) |
Ability to work independently and be a good team player; and |
(h) |
Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chinese. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(2) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and at different sites. |
(3) |
Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available. |
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be subject to posting in different sites to suit the Council’s operational needs. |
