Electrical Appliance Industry |

Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties in the area of Electrical Appliance Industry, subjects may include: Technologies for Electrical Appliance Industry, Safety Requirements and Compliance of Electrical Appliance Industry, Electrical Appliance Marking & Labeling and Safety Standards in different countries; |
(b) |
To develop, review and update programme curriculums and teaching materials; |
(c) |
To carry out duties in relation to trainees and academic administration; and |
(d) |
To assist in course review and attend discussion meeting, when necessary. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised higher diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronic Engineering or equivalent; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ experience in the relevant industrial and/or teaching; |
(c) |
Good presentation, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; |
(d) |
Good classroom management, organising and administrative skills; |
(e) |
Experience in curriculum and training material development, and instructional design is preferred; |
(f) |
A professional qualification in the Electrical Engineering Discipline or proven records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage; and |
(g) |
Ability to pass a trade test. |

Notes: |
(1) |
Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in (a) above but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification. |
(2) |
Appointees may be required to perform duties at different IVDC sites such as Lai Chi Kok, Fanling, Tuen Mun, Ma On Shan etc. |
