The Hong Kong Institute of Vocational
Education (IVE) was established by
merging the two former Technical
Colleges and seven former Technical
Institutes under the VTC, heralding a
new era of vocational education for

The Chinese Cuisine Training Institute
(CCTI), one of the Government’s
Capital Millennium Projects, was
opened to offer formal systematic
training in Chinese culinary arts.
