The VTC was initiated under the
Vocational Training Council Ordinance
as a statutory body to provide a
comprehensive system of vocational
education and training (VET) in
Hong Kong to enhance the quality of
the city’s workforce and advance the
growth of industry and commerce.

VTC 發 展 歷 程
1986
Two new technical institutes in Sha Tin
and Tuen Mun were established,
which, together with the five institutes
taken over from the Government,
marked a great leap in the expansion
of technical education at technician
and craft level.
