Shine Skills Centre

Shine Skills Centre offers vocational training programmes and services for people with special education needs aged 15 or above, to enhance their employment prospects. Its wide range of supportive services further prepares students to integrate into society. 
 
Programmes on offer range from Full-time Courses, Part-time Evening Courses, Adapted Applied Learning Courses, tailor-made Short Courses and Part-time Evening Courses. The wide variety of industry-specific courses cover:

- Design and Desktop Publishing

- Packaging Service
- Integrated Service
- Basic Catering Service
- Logistics Service
- Health and Beauty Care Assistant
- Housekeeping and Cleaning Practice
- Massage Service

Shine Vocational Assessment Service offers Special Vocational Assessment Programme and Comprehensive Vocational Assessment Programme to evaluate the vocational strengths of people with disabilities. Outreach service is also available for people in need.

Shine Technical Aids and Resource Centre develops and modifies the technical aids and learning resources to meet the individual needs. The Centre also offers vocational advice to people with disabilities to help them better adapt to work environments. The two operation centres are located in Shine Skills Centre (Tuen Mun) and Shine Skills Centre (Kwun Tong).

Located in Tuen Mun, Kwun Tong and Pokfulam, all centres are well-equipped with specialised facilities supporting training needs, including the commercial and industrial simulated training workshops, audio-visual aids rooms and language laboratories. Comprehensive counselling services are also available to provide vocational guidance, work adjustment and job placement services, medical and occupational therapy to support students to integrate into society. Residential facilities are available at Shine Skills Centre (Tuen Mun), providing an interactive living environment for students.
