The Hospitality Industry Training and Development Centre (formerly The Hotel Industry Training Centre) was established in 1984 to provide the most up-to-date practical training facilities in Asia.
Located at the KowloonBay and Pokfulam, the two centres are fully furnished with advanced training equipment for practical training in Western Food Preparation, Western Bakery and Pastry, Western and Chinese Food & Beverage Service, Front Office, Housekeeping and Tour Guide & Service Culture.
For further development, the Centre also provides Supervisory Certificate Courses in Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping and Advanced Certificate in Supervisory Hospitality Operations.
Over 2,000 trainees graduate from the Centre each year and have found challenging careers in the hotel and hospitality-related industries. With tourists to Hong Kong increasing, and more new hotels planned, there is a continuing need for skilled, well-trained people to enter the industry. Why not you?

Equip our trainees with versatile multi-language training in English and Putonghua. Our goal is to furnish our trainees with versatile communication skills, relevant information technology training, and instill in them an exemplary service culture and attitude.

Maintain technical excellence in pre-employment training and continuous professional development. We will sustain this excellence through continuous quality improvement of our existing courses and peripheral support.

Maintain close industry partnership by rapport building and working hand in hand with the hospitality industry in all aspects related to training. We would steer our direction and gauge our performance through the continuous evaluation of industry feedback, and participate actively in professional bodies.

Devote concerted effort in keeping abreast of new products and trends. Within the constraints of available resources, we would assist in carrying out surveys as well as the consolidation of statistics, and offer consultancy to support any industry quests as required.
