為鼓勵學生放眼國際，體驗多元文化，
VTC
連續第二年舉辦國際雙周。今年以
「凝聚力量、邁向國際」為主題，於各院
校共舉辦
47
項活動，包括揭幕活動「世
界青年對談」、米芝蓮名廚帶領學生主理
的國際美食日、創意時裝．國際名車薈
萃展、國際禮儀研討會、國際籃球友誼
賽。

學生和教職員均全情投入活動，
體驗各地文化，擴闊視野，實現跨文化
交流。

廣國際化校園生活，接待來港交流生，
幫助他們適應環境；並參與不同國際活
動，如香港聯合國教科文組織協會主辦
的「和平及可持續發展」國際青年節、
亞洲國際教育技術裝備展等，向外界介
紹及推廣

的課程與服務，拓展人脈
視野。

including International Youth Chat at
the Opening Ceremony, International
Yummies co-presented by students and
a Michelin-starred chef, SILK x STEEL
fashion and car show, international
etiquette seminar and friendship
basketball competition. Students and
staff of the VTC were thrilled with the
chance to gain exposure to different
cultures, which broadened their
horizons and encouraged intercultural
communications.
Over 20 new International Student
Ambassadors were recruited this
year. These new ambassadors have
joined forces with 19 pioneering
students from the first cohort to
promote internationalisation across
VTC campuses, to receive and engage
with incoming exchange students,
and to promote the VTC at various
international events, including UNESCO
Hong Kong Peace and Sustainable
Development International Youth
Festival and Worlddidac Asia.
Sharpening Language Skills
To sharpen students’ language skills,
over 30 study packages of English
modules for HD students were
developed in collaboration with Pearson
Education Asia Limited. A pilot delivery
was conducted in May 2016 and full
implementation will take place in the
coming year.
Promoting Cultural Diversity
Since the VTC admitted its first batch
of overseas students in 2012/13,
much diversity has been added to its
campuses. In 2015/16, over 40 non-
local students from the Mainland,
Asian and European countries were
admitted to the VTC’s Degree and HD
programmes.
Riding on the success of the inaugural
event last year, the second International
Fortnight was held across VTC member
institutions for students to embrace
internationalisation and cultural
diversity. Under the theme Link Local,
Go Global, 47 activities were organised
