Digital Construction Vocational English Programme 4.24. The VEP is designed with the aim of enhancing learner’s English language skills for effective communication in the workplace through a flexible curriculum structure with competency-based learning outcomes. It comprises nine Certificate Programmes ranging from QF Level 1 to QF Level 4 and covering the four language skills, i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. To provide learners with greater flexibility in taking the VEP, two modes of study, namely Part-time (A) and Part-time (B), are offered with different contact hours and self-study hours. 4.25 Upon successfully completion of the five Certificate Programmes pegged at QF Levels 2 and 3, learners are recognised as having attained the English requirement for admission to Higher Diploma programmes offered by the VTC through the special admission quota for non-standard entry to local sub-degree programmes.
