HKIIT will offer its programmes at multiple VTC campuses with state-of-the-art facilities to facilitate hands-on learning and practice in applying emerging technologies. These programmes will equip students with the future-ready skills to excel in the ever-evolving digital landscape. 3.20 In addition to its focus on pre-employment training like higher diploma and Diploma of Foundation Studies programmes, HKIIT recognises the importance of lifelong learning and professional development in the industry. To address this need, HKIIT has established an in-service training service named as “SkillsUP”; with closer collaborations with industry partners, professionals and stakeholders to offer both reskilling and upskilling training programmes for the industry practitioners, corporate professionals and workforce. HOTEL AND TOURISM INSTITUTE 3.21 The Hotel and Tourism Institute (HTI) offers full-time and part-time diploma and certificate programmes targeting youngsters at Secondary 3 level or above as well as in-service personnel. 3.22 With three centres located in Pokfulam, Kowloon Bay and Tin Shui Wai respectively, HTI offers vocational training which focuses on fundamental knowledge and practical skills for programmes ranging from Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operations, Housekeeping Operations, Hotel Spa Therapies, Event Management as well as Tour Service and Travel Agency Operations. The T Hotel, a training hotel established under HTI with 30 guest rooms located at VTC Pokfulam Complex, provides a platform for students to apply their skills and knowledge in a real-world setting. Other training facilities of HTI include a wine laboratory, a coffee workshop, a training spa, western training restaurants and a training lounge.
