Part 4 96 VOCATIONAL TRAINING COUNCIL Aviation Centre, IVE (Tuen Mun) 4.113 The Aviation Centre consists of an Integrated Airport Centre (Simulation) and the Flight Simulator Centre. The Integrated Airport Centre (Simulation) models the Integrated Airport Centre (IAC) and Airport Emergency Centre (AEC) of Hong Kong International Airport. It is equipped with computers, console workstations, video walls, closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, communication devices, professional airport simulation software and airport emergency training kits to provide a simulated airport management environment for students to practise airport and airlines’ operational skills. Meanwhile, the Flight Simulation Centre is equipped with several advanced flight simulators including the latest one which is certified by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to provide basic flight training to students. Furthermore, the Aviation Centre is also equipped with a virtual reality system for students to perform aviation related standard operating procedures under a virtual reality training environment. In addition, the Centre is equipped with mini-drones for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) training and facilitating students to practise flying with unmanned aircraft systems, and a simulated baggage conveyor system equipped with RFID and barcode reader for students to learn the automation and baggage handling technology and process at airport. The Jockey Club Heavy Vehicle Emissions Testing and Research Centre, IVE (Tsing Yi) 4.114 The Jockey Club Heavy Vehicle Emissions Testing and Research Centre is equipped with the emission EURO VI testing and research facilities. While the Centre is mainly a place for teaching emission control, it also provides a venue for researching and testing the reduction of emission levels. BIM Technology Centre, IVE (Tuen Mun) 4.115 The BIM Technology Centre consists of the BIM Training Laboratory and BIM Creation Pavilion. The BIM Training Centre offers Building Information Modelling (BIM) training of Construction Industry Council (CIC)-Accredited BIM Coordinator Courses including Higher Diploma programmes in Architectural Studies, Building Studies and Civil Engineering. It also conducts seminars, industrial training and in-house staff training, and offers taster workshops for secondary school students. There are over 40 professional workstations, each equipped with the latest construction industry software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk®
