The Vocational English Programme (VEP) is offered by the Vocational Language Programme Office and is designed to improve learners’ English language skills which can be used across a wide range of real-life settings and situations.
Secondary 4 to Secondary 6 students
On completion of a VEP programme, each learner will be awarded:
a Certificate in Vocational English issued by the VTC
The VEP programmes allow flexibility in accumulation of learning outcomes for admission to the VTC programmes.
On successful completion of all the 5 modules, learners will be recognized to have attained the English requirement through the special admission quota for non-standard entry to local sub-degree programmes for admission to Higher Diploma programmes offered by the VTC (in AY2019/20, VTC offers 9000+ places across a wide range of Higher Diploma programmes). Applications will be assessed individually by the departments concerned.
* On completion of a QF level 2 Certificate Programme, learners can progess to other Certificate Programmes at QF level 3

Mode of Operation
There are two modes of operation: Open Mode and School Partnership Mode.
Senior Secondary Students can choose to take the certificate programme(s) in face-to-face, electronic or blended mode of learning according to their own needs and pace of learning. For details, please refer to “Mode of Learning” and “Programme Schedule”.
School Partnership Mode
School talks and placement tests can be offered to partnership schools upon request. Programme schedules can be customised to suit the needs of individual schools.
