Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties, including student assessment and operating and maintaining training facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning; |
|
(b) |
To provide support in programme operations; |
|
(c) |
To prepare and update teaching and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To perform duties in relation to student administration including student admission and records, job placement and other student activities; |
|
(e) |
To implement quality assurance policies; and |
|
(f) |
To maintain and enhance networks with the industry and related associations. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognized higher diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent; |
|
(b) |
Holder of Welder’s Qualification Test Certificate: Structural Steel Welder (Skilled Level) in accordance with Construction Industry Council or equivalent; |
|
(c) |
Holder of Welder’s Qualification Test Certificate: International Structural Welder License in accordance with BSEN ISO9606-1 or equivalent; |
|
(d) |
At least 3 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry; |
|
(e) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and |
|
(f) |
Good computer literacy. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a Trade Test. |
|
(2) |
Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirement (a) but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification. |

(3) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(4) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
|
(5) |
Appointee(s) may be required to work outside normal office hours and / or at different work locations on a need basis. |
