|
Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To deliver structured Whole Person Development modules to local and Ethnic Minority Youths (EMY) on: |
|
|
(i) |
Personal management skills including study skills, problem solving skills, communication skills, time management, and team building; |
|
|
(ii) |
Social awareness & responsibility; |
|
|
(iii) |
Career-related skills including work attitude and career planning; |
|
(b) |
To develop and revise course curriculum, teaching & learning and assessment materials; |
|
(c) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(d) |
To arrange career counseling and experiential learning programmes ; and |
|
(e) |
To assist in organizing and participate in students’ and office projects and functions, including extra-curriculum activities and volunteer services. |
|
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognized degree in Social Work, Social Science, Liberal Studies, or relevant discipline, or professional qualification; preferably with post-graduate qualification or registration under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance Chapter 505 as social worker; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or training experience; |
|
(c) |
Good presentation, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(d) |
Ability to work independently and under pressure; |
|
(e) |
Be a good team player and able to work collaboratively with teammates; |
|
(f) |
Good understanding of the learning needs of Non-engaged Youth (NEY); |
|
(g) |
Having passion and skills to teach NEY; and |
|
(h) |
Proven experience with EMY would be an advantage. |

Notes: |
|
(a) |
The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”. |
|
(b) |
Preference will be given to candidates with post-graduate qualification or registration under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance Chapter 505 as social worker, or with relevant experience in organizing activities & services and youth work. |
|
(c) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(d) |
The appointee will work at Ma On Shan Campus but may be posted to other designated sites to suit the operational needs. |
|
(e) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
