Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To supervise the financial and accounting operations in respect of: |
|
|
(i) |
financial planning and management, including estimates preparation, costing and financial analysis; and |
|
|
(ii) |
treasury accounting such as revenue collections, cash management, payments and financial reporting; |
|
(b) |
To develop and implement financial and accounting systems to support Council’s financial activities; |
|
(c) |
To formulate, implement and review accounting policies, systems and procedures; |
|
(d) |
To provide comprehensive company secretarial support for VTC Group companies, including coordination and preparation of documentation for members’ and board of directors’ meetings, and work relating to compliance with relevant statutory requirements; and |
|
(e) |
To lead and supervise a team of staff. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised relevant degree and a professional accounting qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 5 years’ relevant experience, gained within sizeable organisations with complex structures (e.g. group of companies, public sector, CPA firms); |
|
(c) |
At least 3 years’ experience at supervisory level, with demonstrated success in team leadership and development; |
|
(d) |
Good organisational and management work experience; |
|
(e) |
Strong people and communication skills; |
|
(f) |
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex financial information clearly; |
|
(g) |
High proficiency in MS Office (particularly advanced Excel) and hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle); |
|
(h) |
Good command of English and Chinese; and |
|
(i) |
Ability to work independently with self-initiative. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
