Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To provide technical support for teaching activities as well as special projects and events; |
|
(b) |
To assist lecturers in the demonstration, practical classes and projects; |
|
(c) |
To be responsible for the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of equipment / apparatus; |
|
(d) |
To set up and prepare the laboratory / practical training sessions; |
|
(e) |
To assist in updating laboratory exercise instruction sheets; |
|
(f) |
To provide guidance and supporting services to students in the laboratories / workshops / practical training rooms; |
|
(g) |
To keep stores and inventory; and |
|
(h) |
To keep the operating areas’ clean and tidy. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised diploma or higher certificate in the relevant discipline; |
|
(b) |
At least 2 years’ relevant work experience; |
|
(c) |
Certificate of Registered Electrical Worker, Grade A or above; |
|
(d) |
Good interpersonal and communication skills and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; and |
|
(e) |
Ability to work independently and be a good team player. |

The post is at the rank of “Technician”. |

(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend and pass a trade test. |
|
(4) |
Evening classes normally run between 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. |
