Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To perform teaching duties, including conducting lectures, seminars and laboratory sessions, preparation for teaching and learning packages; setting and marking students’ assessments, supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
|
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
|
(d) |
To assist in validation and accreditation of programmes; and |
|
(e) |
To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars, and exhibitions. |

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree or professional qualification in Construction or equivalent, preferably in Land Surveying and GIS, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching and/or industry experience; |
|
(c) |
Good communication, teaching and facilitation skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(d) |
Experience in curriculum and training material development is preferred; |
|
(e) |
Good records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage; and |
|
(f) |
Proficiency in English and Chinese, Putonghua is preferred. |

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |
|
(3) |
The appointee(s) will be assigned to work at IVE(ST) depending on operational needs. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned. |
