Major Duties: |

(a) |
To plan, develop, coordinate and evaluate promotional campaigns, marketing programmes and publicity events for the operational unit; |
|
(b) |
To oversee the content, design and production of promotional materials, publications, and digital content, including the websites; |
|
(c) |
To oversee media planning and advertising strategy; |
|
(d) |
To establish and maintain close relationships with local community and schools in collaboration with other Operational Units of the Council; |
|
(e) |
To assist in developing and implementing strategy to foster relationships with students who excel academically or have notable achievements; and |
|
(f) |
To supervise and coordinate the work of executive and clerical staff to ensure effective marketing support to the operational unit. |

|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A relevant recognised degree or equivalent; |
|
(b) |
At least 5 years’ relevant work experience at the executive level in the field of marketing / marketing communications / advertising / public relations and event marketing; |
|
(c) |
Experience in organising events and developing marketing promotion content; and visual design skills is preferred; |
|
(d) |
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; |
|
(e) |
Good problem-solving, planning, project management and team-building skills; |
|
(f) |
Creative mind, good analytical, organisation, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; and |
|
(g) |
Self-initiative, willingness to meet challenges and the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines. |

Notes: |

(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
|
(2) |
Shortlisted applicants will be required to sit for a written test. |
(3) |
The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and / or different work locations. |
(4) |
Appointees may be posted to any operational units of the VTC, for example, a campus / centre, to carry out similar duties, and have different post titles which are subject to change at the Council’s discretion. |
