Major Duties: |
(a) |
To assist in the planning and development of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of VTC’s partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders and industry partners on the new energy transport; |
(b) |
To assist in overseeing the daily operation of Jocky Club Heavy Vehicles Emissions Testing & Research Centre (JCEC) and managing resources effectively; |
(c) |
To plan, design and implement capacity-building programmes with special reference to new energy transport; and support collaboration projects / events / activities for students and relevant stakeholders to facilitate the adoption of new energy transport in Hong Kong; |
(d) |
To support the adoption of green transport in the social welfare sector, including liaising and coordinating internal and external stakeholders, preparing proposals and applying for funding and resources, and leading the market research and technology analysis activities; |
(e) |
To plan marketing activities and develop marketing materials for showcasing JCEC’s commitment to promoting the adoption of new energy transportation in the community; |
(f) |
To lead the design and development of teaching and learning packages for new energy transport; and |
(g) |
To perform training duties, including preparation and delivery of training materials and other related activities, and to oversee course administration and budget control. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Gas Engineering or equivalent professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; |
(b) |
At least 5 years’ solid teaching / industry experience at an appropriate level of responsibility in at least three of the following areas: |

Management and/or implementation of corporate projects; |
|
- |
Planning and/or implementation of corporate strategic initiatives; |
|
- |
Planning and/or implementation of new energy transport; |
|
- |
Development and/or implementation of promotion strategies, preferably in the area of new energy transportation; |
|
- |
Design and/or implementation of green curriculum and/or training activities; and |
|
- |
Solicitation of and/or application for external funding and grants; |
(c) |
Good communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, organisational, time management and administrative skills; |
(d) |
Good business sense and keen interest in green transport; |
(e) |
Strong initiative, be meticulous and a good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure; |
(f) |
A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and |
(g) |
Good linkage with the industry / professional bodies would be an advantage. |
