Major Duties: |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration; |
(c) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; |
(d) |
To organise language enhancement activities; and |
(e) |
To participate in projects and functions of the Language Centre. |

Requirements: |
(a)
|
(i)
|
A recognised degree in English Language / English Language and Literature / Language Studies (English) / Linguistics / Education (English) / English Communication / Translation (English) or professional qualfication, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; OR |
|
(ii)
|
A recognised degree in a non-relevant field, preferably with a post-graduate qualification; AND a relevant English teaching qualification, such as Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Education (major in English), Teaching English as a Second Language or Teaching English as a Foreign Language or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL and English-teaching certification recognised by TESL Canada) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP). A transcript with course details including the number of hours of instruction and practicum should be provided for consideration; |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching experience; |
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills; and |
(d) |
Preference will be given to candidates who are immediately available. |

Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for the post of "Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Assistant Lecturer " at the rank of Teaching Associate. |

Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment. |

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus. |
