Major Duties : |
(a) |
To perform teaching duties including supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement; |
(b) |
To develop programme curriculum and teaching materials; and |
(c) |
To engage in academic developments such as conducting assessments and providing learning support. |

Requirements : |
(a)
|
(i)
|
A recognised degree in English Language / English Language and Literature / Language Studies (English) / Linguistics / Education (English) / English Communication / Translation (English), preferably with postgraduate qualifications; OR |
|
(ii)
|
A recognised degree in a non-relevant field, preferably with postgraduate qualification; AND a relevant English teaching qualification, such as Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Education (major in English), Teaching English as a Second Language or as a Foreign Language or Teaching English To Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL and English-teaching certification recognised by TESL Canada) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP). A transcript with course details including the number of hours of instruction and practicum should be provided for consideration; and |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant teaching experience and / or industrial experience; and |
(c) |
Good communication and presentation skills. |

Notes : |
(1) |
Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of “Part-time (Daytime / Evening) Assistant Lecturer (at the rank of Teaching Associate)”. |
(2) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |
(3) |
Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment in English. |
(4) |
The work location may be secondary schools located in Tuen Mun, Yuen Long, or the North District. |
(5) |
In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process. |
