    Part-time Technician
    School for Higher and Professional Education (Tuen Mun)

    The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities. Applications are now invited for the Part-time Technician post offered by SHAPE (Tuen Mun) in the academic year 2024/25.
     
    Major Duties:
    (a) To assist in the setting up of facilities and equipment for classrooms, laboratories, lecture theatres and workshops;
    (b) To be responsible for the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of computers, servers, network, audio-visual and other educational equipment;
    (c) To provide technical and operational support and guidance to staff and students in learning and teaching-related activities; and
    (d) To maintain the safety and tidiness of the workshops / studios / laboratories.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Multimedia / Information Technology / Media or in a relevant discipline; and
    (b) At least 2 years’ relevant experience in related field.
       
    Notes:
    (1) The post will be remunerated on an hourly basis.
    (2) Working Hours: 19:00-22:00 on weekdays / weekend evenings and/or daytime sessions on weekends (working hours may be varied in which depend on the operational needs of various top-up degree programmes);
