The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring that students can apply what they learn effectively. Major Duties: |
|
The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and Head of Department and engage in teaching and related learning activities, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services. |

Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised Master’s degree, preferably a Doctoral degree, in Civil Engineering, or equivalent; |
|
(b) |
At least 4 years’ work experience in civil engineering and/or teaching experience at tertiary level for civil engineering, or relevant engineering; |
|
(c) |
CIC-Certified BIM Manager or BIM Coordinator is highly preferable; |
|
(d) |
Should be familiar with BIM and Smart Construction areas; |
|
(e) |
Good interpersonal and communication skills; |
|
(f) |
High proficiency in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and |
|
(g) |
Proven records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage. |

(1) |
The post of Lecturer II is at the rank of Teaching Fellow II. |
|
(2) |
Candidate(s) may be appointed on fractional or short-term employment. |
|
(3) |
Shortlisted candidates will be required to give a teaching demonstration in English at the interview. |
|
(4) |
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. |

(5) |
The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |

(6) |
The appointee will work at the Tsing Yi Campus. |
