The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring that students can apply what they learn effectively. Major Duties: |
|
The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and Head of Department and engage in teaching and related learning activities, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services. |

Requirements: |
|
The successful candidate should have a recognised Doctoral degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management or related area, with relevant teaching experience at tertiary level and/or experience in professional practice in the related fields. S/he should have experience in supervising students’ Capstone Projects, and have high proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua. S/he must also fulfil one of the following criteria: |

(a) |
Mother tongue/language is Putonghua; or |
|
(b) |
Received a recognised bachelor’s degree or above of which the Medium of Instruction (MOI) was Putonghua; or |
|
(c) |
At least 3 years’ work experience in Mainland China or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or |
|
(d) |
Achieved at least Grade 2 Level B in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) - Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work. |

The post is at the rank of Teaching Fellow I / II. |

The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. |

The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |

The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus. |
