The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. These programmes integrate theoretical knowledge with practical applications cover industries with growth potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring that students can apply what they learn effectively. Major Duties: |
(a) |
To provide secretarial and general administrative support to the PELL Centre; |
(b) |
To handle administrative tasks related to Work-integrated Learning (WIL) on the digital platform, such as creating user accounts, updating student records, and managing programmes/modules details; |
(c) |
To process admission applications and compile relevant documents; |
(d) |
To liaise with internal and external parties for the booking of teaching venues; |
(e) |
To handle public and internal enquiries; |
(f) |
To handle procurement matters, conduct stocktaking and maintain inventory records for the Centre; |
(g) |
To provide logistic and on-site support for departmental and institute events; and |
(h) |
To provide administrative support for ad hoc projects and perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
(i) |
Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent^; OR |
|
(ii) |
Level 2/ Grade E or above in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE); OR |
|
(iii) |
Diploma of Applied Education + Maths Plus/ Diploma Yi Jin + Mathematics/ Project Yi Jin; OR |
|
(iv) |
A recognised Certificate/ Diploma/ Foundation Diploma/ Foundation Certificate/ Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR |
|
(v) |
A recognised Associate Degree/ Higher Diploma or above. |

Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2/ Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification. |

“Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in HKDSE Examination are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects. |
(b) |
At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in the capacity of Executive Assistant (or equivalent) rank; |
(c) |
High proficiency in the use of computer software applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing; |
(d) |
Flexible, polite, detail-oriented, organised, proactive, and with the ability of multi-tasking and working independently as well as being a good team player; |
(e) |
Good communication and interpersonal skills; |
(f) |
Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and |
(g) |
Experience of utilising teaching-and-learning digital platform and administrative support will be an advantage. |

Notes: |
(1) |
The appointee may be required to work irregular hours or shifts and perform duties on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary. |
(2) |
The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. |
(3) |
The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus. |
