The Institutional Advancement Office is established to build and strengthen VTC’s relationships with employers, industries, trade associations, philanthropists, charitable foundations, alumni and other stakeholders with a key role to foster collaborations with and solicit financial and in-kind support for student development and institutional advancement of the VTC. |

Major Duties: |
(a) |
To support the Council’s initiatives and play an active role to explore and maintain networks and partnerships with various stakeholders in pursuance of these objectives; |
(b) |
To coordinate and execute fundraising projects and engaging activities / events to secure financial support from charitable foundations and philanthropists; |
(c) |
To oversee project implementation and manage funds for donation projects to ensure alignment with goals and objectives; |
(d) |
To manage individual donors through identification, cultivation, and stewardship of donations; |
(e) |
To prepare donation proposals and impact reports; |
(f) |
To develop, review and update fundraising publicity and marketing materials; and |
(g) |
To undertake committee work and take charge of specific projects / tasks as assigned. |

Requirements: |
(a) |
A recognised degree or equivalent; |
(b) |
At least 5 years’ relevant work experience in business development, project management, marketing communications or fundraising work; |
(c) |
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects; |
(d) |
A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills; |
(e) |
Highly motivated and proactive, with an open mind and a broad vision; |
(f) |
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills; |
(g) |
An in-depth understanding of the commercial sectors, and working experience with charitable foundation or fundraising activities are preferred; |
(h) |
Knowledge of the local education sector would be an advantage; and |
(i) |
Good command of English and Chinese. Proficient in Putonghua is preferred. |

Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

The appointee(s) may be required to work on shift / outside normal office hours. |
