Major Duties : |
|
(a) |
To provide counseling and guidance services to local and non-Chinese speaking students, including counseling on further studies & career development, and assistance in fieldwork placement; |
|
(b) |
To market, promote and implement the People of Different Races Programme for Ethnic Minority Youth (EMY), schools, NGOs, and the local community; |
|
(c) |
To organise student and office activities and functions, including extra-curricular activities and volunteer services; and |
|
(d) |
To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration. |
|
|
|
Requirements : |
|
(a) |
A recognised degree in Social Work or relevant discipline, preferably with post-graduate qualification; |
|
(b) |
Registration under the Social Workers Registration Ordinance Chapter 505 as social worker; |
|
(c) |
At least 3 years’ relevant experience in personal / career counseling, administration of student services and youth work; |
|
(d) |
Good presentation and interpersonal skills and proficiency in English and Chinese; |
|
(e) |
Ability to work independently and under pressure; |
|
(f) |
Be a good team player and able to work collaboratively with teammates; |
|
(g) |
Good understanding of the learning needs of Non-engaged Youth (NEY); and |
|
(h) |
Good experience with EMY and a strong network within the EM social service sector would be an advantage. |
