|
Major Duties: |
|
(a) |
To manage various laboratories / workshops and prepare training materials, fixtures and equipment for daily operations; |
|
(b) |
To install, operate and perform maintenance of the apparatus and equipment in laboratories and workshops; |
|
(c) |
To provide technical support and assist in demonstrations for teaching and learning activities, including workshops / studios / laboratories / practical training sessions and student projects; |
|
(d) |
To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores; |
|
(e) |
To maintain the safety, order and tidiness of the workshops / studios / laboratories; and |
|
(f) |
To provide support for campus activities. |
|
|
|
Requirements: |
|
(a) |
A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Fashion Design Technology / Fashion Textiles / Image Design / Fashion Costume Design or related discipline; |
|
(b) |
At least 2 years’ relevant work experience; |
|
(c) |
Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese; |
|
(d) |
Mature, independent, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with good problem-solving skills; and |
|
(e) |
Candidates with hands-on experience and / or knowledge in one or more of the following areas will have an advantage: |

Pattern Making Skills; |
|
|
(iii) |
Lockstitch Sewing Machine; |
|
|
(iv) |
Overlocking Sewing Machine; |
|
|
(v) |
Zig Zag Sewing Machine; |

Bar Tacking Sewing Machine; |
|
|
(vii) |
Coverstitch Sewing Machine. |
|

Notes: |
|
(1) |
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply. |

Shortlisted candidate(s) may be required to attend and pass a trade test. They are also welcome to present their portfolios during the interview. |

(4) |
Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis. |
